I braved the sweltering heat today and sat outside and drew leaves (and a tiny Zidane because I wish I was playing Final Fantasy IX instead in the cold, cold basement). This was very hard - I had the same "brain stretch" feeling you know when you're trying something pleasantly complicated. That hasn't happened for a while for me with art.

I really need to draw more plants. I'd buy a book that explains the anatomy of leaves and trees and stuff but I know it would be for science people and I wouldn't get much out of it. If anyone can recommend me a book about drawling nature for artists I would probably drown you in my tears of gratitude.
